ABOUT US |
Welcome to Flying Shark Knives!
We are a husband and wife team who are driven to design and build the nicest segmented handles in the custom knife game. Kyle developed the company in October '18, shortly after he developed a severe addiction to custom knives. Kirin jumped on board in early '19 because she apparently loves Kyle more than she loves free time. Read below to find out what we do and how we can help your knife company take the next step to greatness!

The Maker
Name: Kyle Nelson
Age: 33 Hometown: Ventura, CA Kyle or "Sharky" started as a custom knife collector. He developed a serious addiction to handle materials and ended up with more scales than any one person needed. At the suggestion of a friend, he threw together some combo scales with some of his materials. They were REALLY bad. But thankfully he didn't give up and eventually learned how to make a passable set of scales. Three years and thousands of scales later he continues to work on coming up with the most beautiful and badass scales on the market. |
